Coal Mine Campground

The Coal Mine Campground is located on gently sloping hills in Grants, New Mexico, and is known for being set against amazing pinion, juuniper, gambel oak and mature ponderosa pine trees. The road gives visitors access to a quarter mile nature trail accessible by a historic bridge biult by the job corps. Campers often take advantage of the diverse landscape to go biking, horseback riding and wildlife watching, not to mention picnicking. This is the perfect place for a quiet vacation, and a complete immersion in to the best of the southwestern natural landscape.
