Phon D Sutton Campground USFS

Located in the gorgeous desert plains of the Tonto National Forest in Mesa is the Phon D Sutton Campground. Campers can look forward to breathtaking peaks, hills and small valleys perfect for ATV tours, hiking and mountain biking. The area is also known for birding, and Salt River is nearby, and perfect for river tubing, swimming and cruising. Many also head out there for canoeing and kayaking. Several great fish species thrive in this river including: tilapia, flathead catfish, crappie, smallmouth and yellow bass and rainbow trout.
